Brian Turkington

After completing his Advanced Diplomas in Law Enforcement and Investigations, Brian rose through the ranks of the Australian Federal Police as a Project Officer, Covert Operations risk specialist, and Criminal Investigator. He progressed to become Executive Officer/Investigations Manager for Organised Crime before spending time in London representing Australian law enforcement agencies as a Counter Terrorism Liaison Officer. This role saw him briefing the Australian Government on terrorism and other high level, sensitive security matters, and liaising with foreign partners to strengthen Australia’s reputation as a leader in the management of terrorism-related matters.

Brian is an experienced manager leading multiple teams of up to 80 members through complex investigations working collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver outputs. As a subject matter expert, he is sought after by private and Government organisations in Australia and beyond to develop and implement innovative investigation management and emerging risk preparedness solutions.

Now a security and risk-management consultant with Amazon, Brian offers investigations management skill sets and provides recommendations that cover everything from security vulnerabilities to communication, investigational management best practices and threat-level responses.
